The Sumi (ink) nagashi (fluctuating) is the name of the Japanese ancient decorative technique that creates abstract drawings on the water surface, using simple and ritual gestures and gentle blows; the paintings are then stamped on paper instantaneously. As water continuously modifies the fluctuating ink accordingly to the mood of the artist, this technique has gained a great visibility in Japan and China, and it is used by Zen monks as a meditation technique in which soul is reflected and released by the sign. A peculiar practice for its typical concentric circles that creates unique and very suggestive stamps.

Workshop for adults and children.
