Zigà in concert on a tug boat

In collaboration with Ti ci Porto.

Domenico Candellori - tambourine and tammorra; Federica Romanelli - voice and tambourine; Roberto Rosati - accordion; Matteo Maria Mariani - violin and sax; Nicola Grilli - bass

A band from Le Marche Region with a Mediterranean spirit. A concert that gives new life to music and dances belonging to a millenary tradition.

The venue is the ancient port of Ancona, the stage is a tug boat at the dock, the rhythms are those of the popular tradition of the centre and south of Italy: pizzica, stornelli, tammurriata, work songs, tarantella from Gargano and ballads in Griko.

Zigà celebrates the primary need of dance and story-telling through lyrics and original arrangements of ancient sounds.
