Conference with Giorgia Garberoglio, author of “Amalia” (Publishing company Feltrinelli)

Introduction by Marina Roscani, journalist.

Amalia is a great actress. The limit between her person and the characters she interprets is always blurry, but she has a special relation with her granddaughter Emma. Nevertheless, when Amalia dies, Emma realizes that she has never known who her grandmother really was: reading her diary she gets to know the Amalia at the time of the war, a different person from the one who designed and sewed dresses for her, a sweeter and yet always resolute Amalia who met the love of her life and kept a disconcerting secret.

Giorgia Garberoglio is from Turin and collaborates with La Stampa and Leggo. “Amalia” is her first novel.
