Seven months after the kidnapping and killing in Egypt of Giulio Regeni, truth and justice still look far away, hidden by a puzzle of official versions proved wrong, diplomatic tensions and pressure on those who try to shed light on the tortures and death of the Italian researcher. Attempts to throw the investigations off track, lies and silence have been the protagonists of these months, while the violation of civil rights perpetrated in Egypt by Abd al-Fattah al-Sisi has become more and more evident: kidnappings, tortures, missing political opponents.
