The concert is the result of a project of international cultural cooperation between the association Adriatico Mediterraneo from Itlay and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina from Egypt, with the idea to promote and value the image and the exchanges between composers and musicians from Italy and Egypt.

The concert is based on mixed repertoire of well-known and popular works as the adagio of the Aranjuez concerto by Rodrigo, the fandango of Boccherini, and original works by Giovanni Seneca and Sherif Mohie Eldin in an interesting balance between contemporay, popular and classical music. Classical guitar and string orchestra blend in search of the popular music, changing a contrast of styles and atmospheres. The common thread is the popular inspiration, which throughout history of music has always fascinated many of the musicians and composers. The atmosphere is very communicative created with the intention, without distorting what is the classical nature of the project and get to touch the hearts of a broad public.

In “Mediterranean night” classicism, folklore and modernity meet up, entwine, in a fascinating poetic itinerary in search of the popular soul of music, amongst varied contrasts of styles, citations, different atmospheres and suggestions. A musical and cultural bridge between the two countries within a dimension of bright lightness made even more seducing by the timber blend created by the classical guitar together with the strings.
