From the Adriatic to the Americas: thousands of migrants travelled through this route between the 19th and 20th century. Many of them settled down in Argentina and Uruguay, contributing to the origin of tango.
Migrations is where the Paolo Giaro quintet’s music comes from; a path intimately related to losing and finding one’s own origins.
The songs played by the quintet are an example of new European tango, that draws inspiration from the characteristics of the art of Rio de la Plata to create an alternative in the world of tango.
